UNICEF Programme Officer Jobs 2022

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) seeks suitable applicants for the position below at the Nairobi, Kenya.

  • Education: University degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 02 years.
  • Employment Type: Full-Time.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second UN and/or local working language of the duty station an asset.
  • Duty Station: Nairobi.
  • Remuneration: As Per rules.

Other Requirements / Information:

  • A university degree in one of the following fields: social sciences, public administration, international law, public health, nutrition, international relations, business administration or other related disciplines.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in programme planning, management, all aspects of disability and inclusion and/or research in education is required.
  • Specialized training/experience in project management and knowledge management highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
  • Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second UN and/or local working language of the duty station an asset.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in programme planning, management, all aspects of disability and inclusion and/or research in education is required.

How can you make a difference?

Knowledge Management

  • The Programme Officer will support and meaningfully contribute to the ESARO disability inclusion programme and operations by supporting evidence generation and knowledge management through providing professional assistance in data collection and analysis, complete and accurate reporting as well as participation in various research and knowledge sharing of “lessons learned” and other corporate-level databases.
  • Participate in information exchange with country offices as well as in the development of training and orientation material by providing professional technical assistance.
  • Participate in the preparation of, and making professional contribution to, the preparation of programme reports required for the management.
