Contract Terms and Hours:
- Grade F (In line with National Salary Grading)
Education Requirement:
- A degree or higher-level IT qualification or equivalent experience.
Experience Required
- Significant experience working in IT roles providing high-quality support in a busy environment.
- Experience in managing IT projects from start to finish.
Language Required:
- Fluency in Written and spoken English; Knowledge of a second language would be an advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support transition of project support into business-as-usual operations on the conclusion of a project.
- Report on all assigned projects, including risk escalation and management, as well as status reports and internal communications.
- Develop the use of automation to enhance the efficiency of internal systems and processes.
- Senior IT Advisor and Global Operations Manager you will develop and implement Saferworld’s global ICT strategy and be proactively involved in developing and improving Saferworld’s systems, processes, and technical documentation with an ICT interface.
- With the Senior IT Advisor, you will oversee all software and hardware procurement, maintenance and usage.
- Maintain up-to-date records of ticket requests via Saferworld’s IT helpdesk system.
- Act as a technical expert resource, providing system support and guidance as needed to Saferworld’s country programmes.
- Play an active role in managing cyber risk, including ensuring the rollout of appropriate training and having appropriate policies and procedures in place with regular testing.
Skills and Abilities:
- Developed understanding of the current IT security landscape, ideally with a good understanding of the country specific challenges Saferworld may face.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, problem-solving attitude and approach.
- Ability to liaise effectively in person and remotely with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures and act with credibility, tact and sensitivity.
- A pro-active, can-do, value for money approach to get the job done in a positive and collaborative way.
