The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit(GIZ) seeks suitable applicants for the position below at the Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Other Requirements / Information:
- Completed university studies in the field of rural development, environmental sciences, international development cooperation or comparable courses
- Several years of professional experience, preferably acquired abroad, as a contract manager in the management and implementation of complex projects
- Several years of professional experience, preferably acquired abroad, in relevant subject areas
- Strong intercultural competence
- Very good strategic, conceptual and analytical skills

Your tasks:
- Representation of the project to clients, government agencies and political actors as well as in the development cooperation community in close coordination with the respective contract managers
- Coordination and provision of the infrastructure for management, planning, communication and cooperation of the projects in the project as well as responsibility for cross-project, strategic and organizational issues
- Management of the “Strengthening Drought Resilience” program with currently five modules of Technical Cooperation, close coordination with the three modules of Financial Cooperation
- Representation of the topic “pastoral drought resilience in lowland areas” in donor groups and in German development cooperation
- Ensuring synergies with other German cooperation projects
- Management responsibility for employees
- Ensuring control, planning, organization, monitoring, reporting
