Education Requirement:

  • Completion of Secondary Education is required, along with a valid National Driving License with Category P.

Experience Required

  • A minimum of two years of relevant professional work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record is required. Familiarity with emergency responses is desirable.

Language:

  • Fluency in English both strong verbal and written skills, are essential.

Required technical knowledge, skills and competencies:

  • Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the area and the current condition of roads and highways, security and safety awareness; familiarity with frequently traveled routes and routines of the more senior staff or the officers
  • Skills in minor vehicle repairs.
  • Ability to deal patiently and tactfully with visitors.
  • High sense of confidentiality, initiative and good judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural background.
  • Shows pride in work and in achievements; demonstrates professional competence and mastery of subject matter; is conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments..
  • Observing deadlines and achieving results; motivated; shows persistence when faced with difficult problems or challenges; remains calm in stressful situations.
